Signing Leases, Downloading Documents, and Giving Move-Out Notice

How My Leases is organized

Leases are grouped into three sections:

• Awaiting your signature — leases sent to you that still need your signature.
• Active leases — fully executed, currently in effect.
• Past leases — expired or terminated; still downloadable.

Each lease card shows the property, monthly rent, deposit, lease term, your landlord, and a signature status row for both you and your landlord (Signed with name, or Pending).

Signing a lease

When your landlord sends a lease, you'll get a secure emailed link to a dedicated signing page (no account required to sign). There you can:

• Review the full lease document and the summary (rent, deposit, term, parties) side by side.
• Download the unsigned PDF before you sign, if you want to review it elsewhere.
• Type your full legal name as your electronic signature and confirm the ESIGN Act / UETA consent checkbox.
• See whether your landlord has already signed.

If your lease is still active in the app and your signature link hasn't expired, you can also start signing directly from My Leases — look for the amber "Action Required — Signature Needed" tag and the Sign lease button. If the link has expired, check your email for the original signing link from your landlord.

Once you sign, if your landlord has already countersigned, the lease is immediately fully executed and active. If not, you'll get a confirmation email once they countersign.

Downloading your lease

Once a lease has a document on file, download the PDF anytime from My Leases — this works for active leases and past (expired or terminated) leases alike, so you always have a copy for your records.

Giving move-out notice

For any active lease, a "Give 30-day move-out notice" card lets you submit notice directly in the app:

• Pick your intended move-out date (defaults to 30 days from today) and, optionally, a reason.
• Submitting notifies your landlord in-app immediately with your name, date, and reason.
• It updates the planned end date shown on your lease.
