Getting Started: Your Service Professional Dashboard

A tour of the service professional shell — every item in your sidebar, what your dashboard shows, and the header controls that follow you across every page.

Your sidebar

Nine sections, always visible — nothing here is gated by a subscription tier:

  • Dashboard — your daily snapshot: active jobs, total earned, rating, and any setup steps still open
  • My Jobs — jobs you have quoted or been assigned, filterable by status
  • Available Jobs — open maintenance requests you can quote on
  • Earnings — completed-job payouts, platform fee, and payout status
  • Reviews — landlord ratings after completed jobs, with a public response option
  • Business Profile — your services, service area, rate, and license/insurance
  • Messages — direct messages with landlords and tenants
  • My Network — your accepted connections and pending requests
  • Settings — Account, marketplace Profile, Security, Payouts, Platinum, and Notifications tabs

Reading your dashboard

At the top, your name (or business name, if it is meaningfully different from your name) greets you along with a quick count of active jobs. Below that, up to three setup banners appear only when relevant, in this order:

  • Complete your profile — shown until your business profile has the required fields (business name and at least one service category). Quoting still works while this banner is up.
  • Verify your identity — shown once your profile is complete and you are not yet ID-verified. See Verifying Your Identity and Understanding the Trust Badge for what verification does and does not gate.
  • Business review pending — shown after your identity is verified but VerticalRent has not yet marked your business Verified. You can keep quoting and accepting work while this is pending.

Three stat cards link out to their full pages:

  • Active Jobs — jobs currently assigned, confirmed, or in progress
  • Total Earned — the sum of your payout (after the platform fee) across every completed job
  • Rating — your average star rating and review count, once you have at least one review

Below the stats, an Active Jobs list shows up to your current jobs with address, schedule, and status; each links to the job detail page. If you have none, a shortcut takes you to Available Jobs.

Connect Your Bank Account

If Stripe payouts are not ready yet, a card at the bottom of your dashboard links to Settings → Payouts. Quoting and accepting jobs both work without Stripe — only getting paid on a completed job needs it. See Getting Paid: Stripe Connect and the Platform Fee.

The header

The header stays with you on every vendor page:

  • Notifications — the bell icon opens job-assigned, payment, review, and message alerts
  • Theme toggle — switch between light and dark mode
  • Help & support — the question-mark icon opens a menu with the Help Center, Ask John (VerticalRent's AI assistant), What's New, and Contact Support
